Reviews & Ratings Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2025

Guidelines for authentic, useful reviews on FINDIN (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED ("Findin," "we," "us," or "our") that help the community make informed decisions.

Scope

This Policy applies to all reviews, ratings, photos, and comments posted by users about listings on Findin, including community‑curated Local Picks and Business Listings. The same standards apply to both.

Who Can Review

Reviews should reflect genuine, first‑hand experiences. If you have not interacted with the place, experience, or business, do not leave a review.

What We Allow

  • Truthful, relevant, and experience-based feedback.
  • Constructive details that may help the place or business improve.
  • Photos you created and own that depict your experience.

What We Do Not Allow

  • Fake engagement (fabricated reviews, coordinated manipulation).
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats, or illegal content.
  • Confidential information or personal data of others.
  • Spam, solicitation, or links to malware/phishing.
  • Copyright/trademark infringement.

AI-Generated Content

Reviews must be written by humans based on first-hand experience. AI-generated, AI-assisted, or bulk-produced reviews are prohibited and may be removed.

Conflicts of Interest

You may not review your own business, a competitor with intent to harm, or a business where you have a close personal, employment, or financial relationship that would bias your review.

Incentivized Reviews

Reviews given in exchange for discounts, gifts, or compensation are prohibited. If a material connection exists, it must be disclosed and may be removed at our discretion.

Photo & Video Guidelines

  • Upload media you created and own, depicting the place, experience, or business reviewed.
  • Do not include faces of private individuals without consent or sensitive personal data.
  • No graphic, explicit, or unlawful imagery.
  • Alterations must not materially mislead (e.g., false claims, deceptive edits).

Proof & Experience Claims

We may request additional context (e.g., approximate date/time of visit) to verify authenticity. Do not post receipts, tickets, or documents that expose personal data.

Moderation & Removals

We may remove or limit visibility of reviews that violate this Policy or our Acceptable Use Policy. We consider context, user history, and community safety. Examples for removal include: clear conflicts of interest; fake or paid reviews; doxxing; explicit content; or off-topic rants unrelated to the experience.

Business Responses

Businesses may publicly respond to reviews. Responses must be professional, factual, and comply with our policies. Do not disclose customer personal data. Pressuring reviewers to change or remove content is prohibited and may result in enforcement action.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was in error, contact support@findin.app with context and evidence within 14 days. We aim to review appeals within 7–14 days and will notify you of the outcome.

Changes

We may update this Policy as our platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated on-site.
